Ten features of the Information Society
I commented on an article DELARBRE Raul Trejo, head researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales de la UNAM, which TMobile cell phones I found very interesting though, and my mind, be qualified and discuss all points.
In this new context is defined as the following features:
1. Exuberance: We have an overwhelming and diverse amount of data. It is a profuse amount of information so that it is itself part of the stage where we work every day.
2. Pervasiveness. The new tools of information, or at least its contents, are everywhere, are part of the contemporary public arena (that are largely scenario) and also in our private lives. Our grandparents (or great-grandparents, as the range of generations in which we are located) were contemporary with the emergence of radio, were shocked with the first transmissions of events and had to wait several months to receive a letter arrived from abroad to travel Barcelona to New York was the most appropriate one to take a cruise ship in several weeks. The next generation grew up and shape its cultural imaginary beside the television, which during its early decades was only black and white, was stunned and pleased with the whole of the first space travel, according to their preferences cinema attendance in the room front of a cinema screen that reflected the projection of 35mm and has not passed without astonishment of wire telephony and conventional character of the cellular or mobile. The youth of today were born when the television broadcasting satellite was already a reality, they know they can cross the Atlantic on a flight a few hours, have seen more movies in video and television in the rooms are traditional and not amazed with the Internet because they have grown up alongside her during the last decade: frequent chat TMobile rooms, use the email and browser software to manage the network with an innate ability literally. This is the Information Society. The media have become an area of excellence for social interaction, which involves facilitating the exchange of ideas and concerns, but also a risky subject to the consortia which have greater influence, particularly in the open media (or general practitioner, as they are called in some places).
3. Irradiation. The Information Society is also distinguished by the distance that now reaches almost unlimited exchange of messages. Geographical barriers fade, the physical distance is again related at least in comparison with the recent past. We do not have to wait several months for a letter arrives in our country to country. Even should suffer the disruptions of conventional telephony. Today, just send an email, or e’mail, to contact someone you know and possibly cell phones not even in a country whose coordinates may not identify at all.
4. Look on for the best deals on Speed. Communication, except technical flaws, it has become instant. It is no longer necessary to wait several days or even more, to receive the response from the recipient of a message and our mechanisms exist to initiate simultaneous communication at prices much lower than those of traditional telephony.
5. Multilateralism / Centrality. gotta do some shopping for the most worthwhile deals on The technical capabilities of contemporary communication allow us to receive information from T-Mobile cell phone plans all parties, although the most frequent that most of the information that circulates in the world arises from a few sites. In all countries there are radio and television stations and many of them, film production .. However the content of the film series and more known throughout the world is often developed in the cultural metropolis. That trend continues on the Internet, where the most visited pages are of U.S. origin and, yet, the country with the most users of the network remains the United States.
6. Interactivity / unilateralism. Unlike the conventional communication (such as offering the traditional television and radio) to propagate the new information enables its users are not only consumers but also producers of their own messages. On the Internet we know and all kinds of content with this, help us to increase the flow of data available on the network. However, this ability of the Internet remains little used. The vast majority of users are passive consumers of content that already exist on the Internet.
7. Inequality. The Information Society offers such a wealth of content and so many possibilities T-Mobile cell phones for education and exchange between people around the world, often seen as a remedy to the many shortcomings that humanity suffers.
